Taya (rhymes with 'Hey ya!') has lived in Chicago, Denver, and San Diego and is happy to have found a permanent home in New York since 2005.
I originally intended to be a biochemistry major at the University of Chicago, but a student job in a leukemia research lab during the first dot com boom (and my impatience staring down 12 more years of school) led me to a fine art and computer science degree.
I am currently the product director at Artsy where I am directing my early artistic passion toward building desktop and mobile apps to help more people learn about collecting art.
Earlier in my career I held roles in design, UX and engineering before formalizing a product management track. Before Artsy, I've worked extensively in education technology and career management, which is why I'm especially excited to help mentees navigate the complicated world of finding product job opportunities.
When not working I can usually be found putting off going running, trying a new local beer, or watching Next Generation reruns.
